| Providing quality education in schools is government’s ultimate goal: Peerzada | | | Srinagar, September 25 – Minister for Education Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed has maintained that providing of quality education is among the priorities of the government and several steps with far-reaching results have been initiated to achieve this goal. He said private educational institutions had to play an important role to achieve cent percent literacy to enable the state to match with the rest of the country in terms of quality of education imparted in the schools. The Minister was addressing a meeting convened to deliberate upon the measures aimed at to bring further transparency in the selection process of students to various private run educational institutions particularly in leading institutions of the valley Representatives of Delhi Public School, Burnhall, Convent, Mailson, Bisco, Iqbal Memorial was present in the meeting. The Minister suggested that renowned educationists should be involved by the management of private educational institution in simplifying the admission procedure. He said that application forms and other relevant documents should be made available on Website for convenience of parents and students seeking admission. Secretary Education Mr. K. M. Wani and Director Education Kashmir Mr. Mohammad Rafi were also present in the meeting. |
