UDHAMPUR, JUNE 17 – Seeking people’s cooperation in taking forward development agenda of the government, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Tara Chand has said public should monitor ongoing developmental works in their areas for keeping a check on executing agencies, adding that lacunae, wherever existing, should be brought to the notice of the higher authorities.
“Vigilant public can act as an effective tool to check corruption and mismanagement,” he said and asked people to be self-motivated agencies of change and development.
Addressing a public rally here today, the Deputy Chief Minister said government is aware of the problems of different regions of the State and believes in equitable development. He said area-specific projects are being worked out so that development needs of all the regions are met, adding priority is being given to far-flung and hilly areas lagging in development index. He said basic infrastructure like road connectivity, power and drinking water are being strengthened to improve living standards of the people.
