As soon as Dileep Sanghani was declared the winner, a wave of enthusiasm and pride swept through the Indian cooperative delegation present in Panama. The members collectively raised the slogans of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and "Vande Mataram," filling the entire auditorium with patriotic spirit. The chants of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and "Vande Mataram" resonating on foreign soil reflected the growing stature and influence of India on the global cooperative platform. The election, held during the ICA General Assembly in Panama City, marks a proud moment for India's vast cooperative movement. This achievement further strengthens India's growing role, influence and leadership in the global cooperative sector. Dileep Sanghani has been associated with the cooperative sector for several decades and has consistently worked towards the empowerment of farmers, the rural economy and cooperative institutions. He currently serves as the Chairman of IFFCO and GUJCOMASOL and has held important responsibilities in several national and international cooperative organisations. The International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) is the world's leading global cooperative organisation, representing cooperative institutions from different countries and regions. India's representation on the ICA Global Board will further strengthen the voice of the Indian cooperative movement on the international platform. Sanghani's victory also reflects the global recognition of India's cooperative movement and the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of "Sahkar Se Samriddhi" (Prosperity through Cooperation).
