Jammu, Sept 18: Tawi Welfare Society has expressed its heartfelt appreciation and sincere gratitude to the Public Works Department (R&B) for its commendable and generous approach towards the long-pending road requirements of the Tawi Island Area. The Society appreciated the Department for undertaking repair, improvement and blacktopping of almost all major roads used by the people of the area, describing the development as a significant and welcome step towards better connectivity and public convenience. Major Projects Include:- Rs 7 Crores for Summ Tope–Manhasan Road Rs 5 Crores for Meena Resort–Lachhman Pura Road and Rs 4.50 Crores for Fourth Bridge–Mata Bhadrakali Temple, Thalwal Road. Tawi Welfare Society stated that these projects will provide substantial relief to thousands of residents and particularly benefit students, farmers, employees, patients and the general public. Society placed on record its special appreciation to officers and officials of PWD (R&B), from the senior level to the field staff, whose collective efforts in site assessments, preparation of estimates, processing of proposals and securing approvals have helped bring these important works forward. “Words fall short of expressing our gratitude to the entire PWD (R&B) family. For the first time, the Tawi Island Area is witnessing such a comprehensive and positive approach towards its road infrastructure.
We sincerely hope this responsive approach continues, with the remaining requirements of the area also receiving due attention,” the Society said. |
