Early Times Report NEW DELHI, Sept 19: Ten foreign nationals have been identified for deportation proceedings after Delhi Police conducted a special drive to verify illegal and overstaying foreigners at 43 locations in Dwarka, officials said on Saturday. During the drive, 40 foreign nationals, including 31 Nigerians, four Ugandans, three Tanzanians and two Ivorians, were verified, they said. The operation was conducted by 25 dedicated teams comprising around 150 police personnel from various police stations and special units of the district, officials said. Of the 40 foreigners verified, 30 were men and 10 women. The Nigerians included 28 men and three women, while all four Ugandan and three Tanzanian nationals verified were women. Both Ivorian nationals were men, they said. 10 foreigners taken up for deportation proceedings include five Nigerians, four Ugandans and one Tanzanian. Six of them are women and four are men, police said. |
