JAMMU, Sept 21: Alankrita Sharma of Class VI-D, Delhi Public School, Jammu, has made the school proud with her impressive performance in the Inter-District U.T. Level Chess Competition 2026-27.
Competing in the U-14 Girls category, Alankrita won the Gold Medal and secured 1st Position at the Inter-District U.T. Level Chess Competition 2026-27, organised by DYSS Ramban and held from 9 to 10 September 2026 at Ramban, J&K.
Earlier, she had also performed well at the Inter-District Division Level Chess Competition 2026-27, organised by DYSS Ramban and held from 6 to 7 September 2026 at Ramban, J&K. She won the Silver Medal and secured the Runner-up position in the U-14 Girls category.
Adding another achievement to her credit, Alankrita has also been selected for the National SGFI Chess Championship, which is scheduled to be held later this year. She has also received Certificates of Merit-cum-Participation for her participation and performance in chess competitions.
The esteemed management of DPS Jammu, under the leadership of M.K. Ajatshatru Singh (President-RCT), Kuwarani Dr. Ritu Singh (Pro-Vice Chairperson), and S.S. Sodhi (Director), along with Ruchi Chabra (Principal) and the staff, congratulated Alankrita on her achievements and selection for the National SGFI Championship. They appreciated her hard work and dedication and wished her the very best for her upcoming national-level championship. |
