JAMMU, Sept 23: Yuva Rajput Sabha-J&K (YRS) organised a grand Maharally today to commemorate the 131st Birth Anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji, the last Dogra ruler of Jammu & Kashmir, Leh-Ladakh and the Tibetan region.
The Maharally was organised under the presidentship of Mandeep Singh Rimpy, President Yuva Rajput Sabha-J&K, along with Former President Vikram Singh Vicky, members of the Core Committee, stakeholders and thousands of people who participated with great enthusiasm.
The rally commenced from M.D. Resorts, Keran Bantalab, Jammu, and proceeded through Roopnagar, Paloura, Janipur, New Plot, Amphalla, Panjthirthi, CPU Chowk, Kachi Chawni, Parade, Shalimar, Indira Chowk, Gumat and Dogra Chowk, before culminating at the Statue of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji at Tawi Bridge.
The programme witnessed the participation of thousands of people from different sections of society, who gathered to pay their respects to Maharaja Hari Singh Ji and remember his contribution and legacy.
The Chief Guest of the occasion was Mahipal Singh Makrana, National President of Rajput Karni Sena. Renowned Punjabi singer Rahi Rana and prominent Rajput personality Okinder Rana also graced the occasion.
During the programme, President Mandeep Singh Rimpy and Former President Vikram Singh Vicky addressed the media and briefed journalists about the significance of Maharaja Hari Singh Ji's birth anniversary and the objectives behind organising the Maharally.
YRS leaders stated that Maharaja Hari Singh Ji remains an important figure in the history and heritage of the Dogra community and Jammu & Kashmir. The Sabha called upon the people, particularly the younger generation, to remain connected with the region's history, culture, traditions and heritage.
The YRS leadership expressed gratitude to all participants, supporters, stakeholders, volunteers, media persons and members of the public who joined the Maharally and contributed to making the programme a significant public gathering. |
