DODA, Sept 23: The Indian Army organised the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign at Hanch, Doda, Jammu & Kashmir on 22 Sep 2026 in collaboration with local school students. The campaign aimed to promote environmental conservation and create awareness among the younger generation about the importance of protecting and nurturing the environment. During the programme, The Indian Army troops and school students jointly participated in a tree plantation drive and planted saplings in and around the school premises.
The initiative provided an opportunity for students to actively contribute towards environmental protection while fostering a sense of responsibility towards nature. Their enthusiastic participation also highlighted the importance of collective efforts in creating a greener and more sustainable future. The campaign further encouraged students to understand the significance of afforestation, environmental stewardship and sustainable practices in preserving natural resources for future generations.
