RAJOURI, Sept 25: In a major action against the illegal circulation of drugs, Rajouri Police on Friday detained a woman and recovered around 1,700 suspected banned drug tablets from her possession near the Old Bus Stand area of Rajouri.
The police action reportedly took place at around 5:30 PM, following which the woman was taken into custody and the recovered tablets were seized. Police have initiated further questioning to determine the source of the tablets and the circumstances in which they were allegedly being carried.
Investigators are also probing whether the woman was allegedly linked to a wider drug network and whether other individuals were involved in supplying or distributing the tablets. The exact nature of her role and other details are expected to emerge during the course of the investigation.
