Early Times Report Srinagar, Jun 19 Jammu and Kashmir police, Excise department and Revenue department in a joint operation destroyed restricted crops cultivated in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, official sources said here today. They said the joint operation was launched at Awantipora in Pulwama district following a tip-off that some farmers were cultivating banned bung and other crops. During the raids, banned crops over 40 kanals of land were destroyed by the joint team. Cases against the land owners had been registered, they said, adding, however, no one was arrested. Police, Excise and revenue department destroyed banned crops cultivated over thousands of kanals of land in south Kashmir districts of Pulwama, Anantnag and Shopian during the past three months.
