| Bhim Singh calls on PM; hails his initiative | | | Early Times Report New Delhi, June 19- Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, National Panthers Party and Member, National Integration Council (NIC) today called on Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, in New Delhi. He hailed the PM’s initiative inviting representatives of political and social groups from Jammu and Kashmir for a constructive dialogue for the return of lasting peace and ensuring speedy development in the state. The Panthers Party Chairman also expressed support and solidarity with the efforts of the Prime Minister to involve various groups and sections of the society in Jammu and Kashmir in the confidence building process. The meeting lasted 25-minutes at the official residence of the Prime Minister. Prof. Singh conveyed to the Prime Minister his concern on the deterioration of governance in the state and urged the Dr. Singh to hold a meeting of the representatives who participated in five Working Groups which were constituted under his directions. Prof. Bhim Singh also sought blessings of the Prime Minister for holding third Intra J&K ‘Heart to Heart’ Talks in Delhi in October, 2009. The first talk was held in 2005 and second in 2007. Several prominent leaders from POK including Sardar Qayyum Khan had participated in the meeting. The Prime Minister expressed hope that in the new situation on the national and international level, peace loving people in J&K shall come forward so that peace returns and development of the state comes on our agenda.
