MANDI GOBINDGARH, Sept 26: The Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Computing (FOETC), Desh Bhagat University, in association with AWS and the AWS Student Community, organized an AWS Student Community Day with the theme "Empowering Future-Ready Learners - Big Ideas Start Here!". The event was aimed at providing students with an opportunity to understand the rapidly evolving landscape of cloud computing, emerging technologies, innovation, and industry-oriented skills.
The programme emphasized the importance of continuous learning and encouraged students to explore, connect, build, and innovate in order to prepare themselves for future academic and professional challenges.
Dr. Khushboo Bansal, Deputy Director, addressed the participants and concluded the programme by emphasizing the importance of transforming learning into practical outcomes. She encouraged students to remain curious, continuously upgrade their technical skills, and actively participate in technology-based communities and projects. She highlighted that students should not limit themselves to theoretical learning but should explore opportunities to experiment, develop projects, collaborate with others, and apply their knowledge to real-world challenges.
Prof. Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, shared his views on the significance of such initiatives and appreciated the efforts of FOETC in creating opportunities for students to connect academic learning with emerging technologies. He emphasized the importance of innovation, research, entrepreneurship, and technological advancement in preparing students for the future. He encouraged students to remain adaptable in a rapidly changing technological environment and to use their knowledge and creativity for developing solutions that can contribute to society and industry.
The AWS Student Community Day successfully created awareness among students about the importance of cloud technologies, innovation, practical learning, collaboration, and continuous professional development. The event helped bridge the gap between classroom learning and technology-oriented applications by encouraging students to explore practical opportunities.
