NEW DELHI, Sept 28: Hindi Pakhwada was celebrated at NIPER, SAS Nagar from 14.09.2026 to 28.09.2026. During this period, various competitions were organized.
The valedictory function of Hindi Pakhwada was held today i.e. on 28.09.2026 at NIPER, SAS Nagar. On this occasion, Prof. Dulal Panda, Director, NIPER; Prof. K.B. Tikoo, Dean, NIPER; and Wing Cdr (Retd.) P.J.P. Singh Waraich, Registrar, along with senior faculty members, staff, and students, were present.
Vande Mataram was recited before starting the function. Acting Hindi Officer Mr. Manoj Tiwari presented the progress report for the year 2025-26. Prizes were distributed to the winners of all the competitions.
In addition, individuals who contributed significantly to the promotion of Hindi in official work were also honoured - One officer Vinod Kumar, Scientist; two staff members: Mr. Ashu Kumar, Stenographer, Mr. G. Murugesan, Technical Assistant, and one outsourced employee: Mr. Bhupinder Singh were given prizes. Prof. Sanyog Jain, Dr. Bhuvan Bhushan Mishra and Dr. Ashutosh Kumar were also felicitated for delivering their scientific lectures in Hindi.
Prof. Panda in his address, mentioned that the Hindi language brings anand in our daily life. He also emphasized the need to promote the use of Hindi in our daily work. He also stressed the importance of translating scientific literature in Hindi.
Prof. Tikoo, in his address, congratulated all the winners. He appreciated the participation from new contestants. He said that Hindi ties us all and language barriers diminishing with the help of goggle translator. He suggested that the winners in today's function should be now the ambassadors to inculcate others to participate in future Hindi Pakhwadas of the Institute.
Wing Cdr. (Retd.) P.J.P. Singh Waraich in his address congratulated all the winners. He said non-Hindi bhashi staff and students should also come forward and participate in these competitions. He also appreciated and mentioned that it is very encouraging that employees also participated in these competitions and won prizes. He also thanked Acting Hindi Officer, Hindi Translator and entire team who directly or indirectly contributed for successfully organizing the Hindi Pakhwada.
