| Regularize adhoc doctors: MOWF | | | Early Times Report
Jammu June 21: A meeting of executive body of Medical Officers (Indian Medicine) Welfare Forum (MOWF) was held at Samba on Saturday. Dr. Jagdish Lal President MOWF, has expressed strong resentment over delay in sanctioning of 3rd time bound promotion due since 2001. The government had issued order in December 2008 and despite 6 months having passed, the in-service senior doctors feel disappointed and harassed on this court, he urged Health Minister and Commissioner Secretary Health to issue necessary directions in this regard to do away with restlessness and frustration created due to indifference and pathetic attitude of the concerned authorities.
They further demanded regularization of dispensaries being run in internal arrangement, regularization of Adhoc/contractual ISM doctors, making pharmacy and drug testing laboratory functional, creation of 45 posts of Pharmacists for the dispensaries being run the lone Medical Officer for the last 27 years, enhancement and release of wages of PST pending since last tow years and improvement of ISM dispensaries in respect of building, staff and supplies so that they can render better healthcare through ISM institutions.
