| Model shoot held for JD Institute annual design awards | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 21- For showcasing the clothes made by the students, a professional Model Shoot was held here today and the picture of which would be published in the form of a catalogue providing a valid recognition to the student designer. Students of JD institute of fashion technology Jammu are participating in the annual designs show being held in Delhi. Representatives of various brands like Levis, Pepe, Adidas, Raymonds would be present at the show which will provide the much needed opportunity to the student designers to gain exposure to the professional world of fashion. It will also provide an opportunity for the student designers to interact and take inspiration from the industry heads and also to make them aware of their designing and manufacturing skills. The annual award show is scheduled to be held on July 3, 2009. The theme of this year’s fashion show is ‘ME’ and the students of Jammu have interpreted as ‘Setu- the Tawi Bridge’ which is the connection Jammu has with the rest of India and every Jammuites identifies with it. The students representing JD Jammu for the Annual Design Awards include Palak Gupta, Ela Gupta, Jatin Jain and Yogita Jamwal. The students of JD Jammu have designed their garments which will be fitted according to the international models showcasing them in the Fashion show.
