MANDI GOBINDGARH, Oct 2: Desh Bhagat University commemorated Gandhi Jayanti with great respect and reverence, honouring the life, ideals, and enduring legacy of Mahatma Gandhi Ji. On the occasion, Vice Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi Ji and highlighted the continued relevance of his principles of truth, non-violence, simplicity, and service to humanity. He emphasized that Gandhian values continue to inspire individuals to become responsible citizens and make meaningful contributions towards society.
The Vice Chancellor further stated that Gandhi Ji's philosophy remains relevant in contemporary times and serves as a guiding force for promoting peace, compassion, integrity, and social responsibility. He encouraged the university community to imbibe these values in both their personal and professional lives. The occasion was graced by the presence of Directors, Deans, faculty members, and other members of the university, who came together to pay their respects and reflect upon the ideals and teachings of the Father of the Nation.
