| Unscheduled power cuts in Channi Himmat irk residents | | | Early Times Report Jammu, June 21- Channi Himmat Residents Association in a meeting held under the chairmanship of its President Advocate V.K.Grover taken serious view of the power curtailment resorted to by the PDD despite assurance from the authorities no less than Chief Minister. Omar Abdullah that the department is not resorting to curtailment in the areas where electronic meters have been installed The members also expressed displeasure over the J&K Housing Board authorities for being silent spectators, rather perpetrators of agony, miseries and sufferings of the residents of Channi Himmat Housing Colony by not caring to repair the roads for which this association have submitted on their demand a detailed list of the most vulnerable and dilapidated spots which require immediate attention. In addition to power cuts, roads with numerous deep ditches, missing or broken drains, deadly shrubs parathenium or Congress Grass and non-availability of proper transport link to Jammu city and other important areas like hospitals and educational institutions have rendered this colony as nothing by “Dark and rural’ colony. The members appealed to the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister to intervene and save the colony residents from pathetic treatment of the authorities concerned lest the sufferers adopt the agitational path to secure social justice.
