JAMMU, Oct 12: EK SATH RANG MANDAL today presented its 538th MONDAY Theatre in Jammu at JMC Park, Pacca Talab, Jammu, with a new progressive NUKKAD AGAINST DRUG ADDICTION ("NASHA NAHI NAASH HAI, JEEWAN KA VINASH HAI").
A social worker with his members gives a sincere message of awareness that addiction is NOT an intoxication but is a destruction of life.
Gulab Chand, a social worker, says and warns that substance abuse or addiction is often mistakenly viewed as a momentary escape, thrill, or pleasure, when in reality, it leads straight to ruin. It also ruins physical and mental well-being, damaging vital organs and clouding judgement.
This addiction does not harm the individual alone, it shatters families financially and emotionally, eroding social standing and peace. He again warns that you people should reject intoxication and embrace a healthy lifestyle and protect your future in the society.
Gulab ji adds that there is accidental poisoning or lethal suppression of the central nervous system breathing from uncalibrated doses.
He says that about mental health crises, deepening depression, severe anxiety, paranoia, hallucinations, and drug-induced psychosis. He adds about erratic behaviour, sudden mood swings, hostility, aggression, extreme secrecy, and financial desperation like stealing or accumulating unmanageable debt, loss of trust, domestic conflict, emotional withdrawal, and severe impact on dependent children or partners.
Gulab Chand in his narration says sudden changes in appearance, hygiene, or sleep and eating patterns. A large number of people witnessed the NUKKAD and appreciated it.
