| Jammu scribes welcome Renzu as Dir Info | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, June 22 All Jammu Newspaper Editors Association (AJNEA) has welcomed the Government decision of giving additional charge of director J&K Information Department to Farooq Ahmed Renzu. In a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of AJNEA president Ravinder Singh, the members of the association while congratulating Farooq Ahmed Renzu for his additional appointment as Director Information department and described him an exceptional man. Saying that he has capability to lead the Information Department, they said that he had already served the J&K Information Department as its Director and at that time he brought accountability and took many visionary steps in the welfare of Information Department. The AJNEA said that during his tenure as Information Director he always cooperated with the members of Print and Electronic Media working in the state of J&K and took keen interest regarding their demands and problems of media fraternity. The Information Department in Government is a bridge between Government and media fraternity and he in his previous tenure as Director Information always kind enough and proved best mediator between Media/Press and the Government. During the meeting, the members in a single voice demanded induction of Farooq Ahmed Renzu as Director General of J&K Information department for the full time in J&K for smooth functioning of Information department as he has the capability to take department to new heights. The members expressed hope further additional charge as director Information will help the said department. Among others who spoke in the meeting included AJNEA Patron A K Sawhney, Chairman Banarsi Dutt Sharma, General Secretary Adarsh Pal Gupta, Satish Mahajan, Vinod Kumar Sharma, Munish Gupta, Ravish Sharma, Farooq Ahmad, Kuldeep Gupta, Santosh Sharma, Rajesh Bali, Rajesh Dutta, Parshant Bhardwaj, Ajay Kumar, Jagdish Choudhary, Ravi Khajuira, Murli Sharma, Shashi Dalmotra, Suresh Magotra, Jamshed Akhter, Ritesh Kapoor and others.
