| Cattle lifters gang busted | | | Early Times Report
Samba, June 22: Jatwal police have busted cattle lifters gang and recovered seventy cattle heads.Jatwal police had been receiving information that some cattle lifters are active in the area and accordingly a trap was laid by incharge police post Atul Singh and arrested one Mohd Ashraf son of Mohd Ismail.During his interrogation he told police that he was active with some of his other companions.Police on his revelation conducted raid in Doda and recovered about 70 goats from the spot. SDPO Samba Ram Singh Charak informed that the gang was active in upper reaches of Kathua,Ramban and Samba.It was few days ago when they lifted some cattle from village Katiyal.The raids were monitored by SSP Samba Raguver Singh.Where as police have launched manhunt to arrest the other absconders.
