| Wushu Association of J&K to Conduct Selection Trials for Sub-Junior and Senior Teams from November 4 to 6-2026 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 25: The Wushu Association of Jammu & Kashmir has announced that selection trials for the Sub-Junior and Senior Wushu Teams will be held from November 4 to 6, 2026, at the Wushu Hall, MA Stadium, Jammu. A seven-member selection committee has been constituted by the Association to conduct the trials and select eligible athletes for the upcoming National Wushu Championships.
The selected athletes will represent Jammu & Kashmir at the 35th Senior National Wushu Championship, scheduled to be held in Itanagar from December 9 to 15, 2026, and the 26th Sub-Junior National Wushu Championship, scheduled to take place in Odisha from December 18 to 23, 2026.
The selection trials will be open to all eligible athletes. All affiliated units have been requested to send their best athletes to participate in the trials and showcase their talent and skills.
The Association has made it mandatory for all participating athletes to submit the following documents at the time of registration:
1. Medical Fitness Certificate.
2. Date of Birth Certificate.
3. Duly completed Waiver of Liability Form signed by the parents.
4. Six recent passport-size photographs.
5. Valid insurance documents.
Athletes who fail to produce the requisite documents will not be eligible to participate in the selection trials.
The Association has already circulated the official notification regarding the selection trials to all affiliated units. The circular is also available on the official website of the Wushu Association of J&K: wushujk.in.

The seven-member selection committee constituted to conduct the trials comprises:

4. Ajaz Hassan - Member
5. Ashi Jamwal - Member
6. Sher Bahadur - Member
7. Rohit Thakyal - Member
The Association has urged all affiliated units and eligible athletes to ensure timely participation and compliance with the prescribed documentation requirements to facilitate the smooth and transparent conduct of the selection trials. |
