| Amarnath pilgrims protest at Batal morh near Majalta | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur June 23 - Despite the suspension of Amarnath yatra for today by the authorities’, number of Amarnath yatris, who managed to reach up to Batal morh twenty five Kms from Udhampur, held protest forcing police to allow them to proceed further.
Traffic remained suspended on Dhar road for more than half an hour and there was total chaos in the wake of traffic jams
Chaos, erupted that time when unregistered pilgrims, tried to proceed towards valley despite direction of higher authorities not to allow any yatra towards Srinagar .Pilgrims held protest demonstration at Battal morh in Udhampur and blocked the traffic movement due to which there was total chaos and traffic jam along Dhar road .
Pilgrims raised anti- police and administration slogans .They said why we are being stopped here and why not at Lakhanpur when they proceed towards Jammu. .However, after the intervention of police and administration, the yatris were allowed to proceed towards Udhampur.
