Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 26: Gymkhana Jammu, founded by Sahil Anand (sahil_gymkhana), organised an adventurous trek to Yug Dhar, an unexplored destination in Udhampur district, promoting a deeper connection with nature, creativity, cleanliness and physical fitness.
Led by Gymkhana’s enthusiastic crew, the expedition combined outdoor adventure with meaningful activities designed to encourage environmental awareness, artistic expression and healthy living.
Amisha, Vishwas and Karishma led a creative art and connecting-with-nature workshop. The session encouraged participants to observe their surroundings, draw inspiration from the wilderness and express their creativity through art, fostering a stronger appreciation for the environment.
The wilderness cooking activity was led by Vimal, Shrey, Chanda Anand and Lotika, offering participants an opportunity to experience cooking in a natural setting and learn practical outdoor skills.
Promoting fitness beyond conventional gym spaces, Sahil Anand and Tanmay introduced bodyweight training in collaboration with nature.
Munish Mehra (@travelwithfriendz), a guide and one of the trek’s core members, played an important role in guiding the group throughout the expedition. Tanmay, Harshita and Vishwas also took responsibility for the campsite, helping participants learn essential camping skills and understand the importance of organised outdoor living.
Beyond adventure, the trek emphasised cleanliness and environmental responsibility, encouraging participants to respect nature and preserve the beauty of unexplored destinations.
Through this initiative, Gymkhana Jammu demonstrated how fitness, art, outdoor learning and environmental awareness can come together.
