| Sanctions Rs,.4 lakh from CDF | | | Bhim Singh visits flood- affected areas in Kashmir. SRINAGAR SEPT-25 Expressing serious concern over the plight of the people in the drought affected areas in Kashmir, the JKNPP Chairman Prof Bhim Singh has demanded immediate relief to the affected families whose houses have completely been damaged by floods, free rations to those families whose crops have completely been destroyed by devastating floods, opening up of a ration store in Wandanpora. Prof Singh who was on a two- day visit of the flood affected areas of Sopore, Tangmarg, Wandanpora, Hanjora and Kanilbagh in Baramulla district and Reshipora and Imam Sahib in Pulwama district , sanctioned Rs. four lakh from his Constituency Development Fund for two foot bridges and local roads damaged by floods. The JKNPP Chief also demanded grant of Tehsil status to Imam Sahib, up gradation of Government Primary School in Wandanpora and repairs of Reshipora School. He also addressed public meetings at Wandanpora and Imam Sahib and paid rich tributes to late Shamim Ahmed Shamim, former MP and pioneer of district movement in Shopian. Those who accompanied him during the tour included Bashir Ahmed Kathua, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Sonaullah Beg, Mohammed Maqbool Malik, Rattan Lal and H S Jamwal.
