| Doda migrants dharna enter day 546 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 23: The dharna of erstwhile Doda migrants in front of divisional commissioner’s office in support of their demands enters day 546 here today.
General Secretary of the front, Somnath in a press conference said migrants of the district are living a miserable life in various parts of the Jammu region and government failed to provide them any solace.
He demanded that on the pattern of Kashmiri migrants of Doda should also be given all facilities, but added state government is adopting evading tactics in solving the genuine problem for their sustenance.
He said even the J&K high court has directed the state government to treat Doda migrants at par with Kashmiri migrants, but till date government did nothing. He said even Dy. Commissioner, Udhampur is also adopting delaying tactics and till date he failed to constitute any screening committee.
He appealed to the chief minister Omar Abdullah to look into the matter personally and direct the relief authorities to provide relief for sustance.
