UDHAMPUR, Oct 28: SSP Udhampur Sh. Amrit Pal Singh (IPS) held a meeting with representatives of the Transport Union and School Transport In-Charges to discuss road safety and traffic rule enforcement. Addressing the commercial transporters, SSP directed them to strictly avoid overspeeding and overloading, keep complete documentation and secure valid fitness certificates for older passenger vehicles.
Focusing on child safety, school transport officials were instructed to strictly follow prescribed safety norms for school buses, adhere to seating capacities, and enforce speed limits.
SSP Udhampur called upon all stakeholders to work hand-in-hand with the police to curb road accidents and create a safer environment for all . |
