Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 1: A meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (Bhim) was held at the party headquarters in Jammu under the chairmanship of party President, Advocate Vilakshan Singh, to deliberate upon pressing issues confronting Jammu province.
Addressing the gathering, Advocate Vilakshan Singh and other key speakers voiced grave concern over the sharp decline in tourism across the province, which has dealt a crushing blow to the region's economy. The continuous slump has severely hit hoteliers, traders, transport operators, and small shopkeepers, resulting in substantial financial losses and deepening the livelihood crisis across Jammu.
The meeting took serious note of the worsening road connectivity in both rural and semi-urban belts, pointing out that dilapidated roads have aggravated public misery and hindered regional commerce. The leadership also raised the alarm over skyrocketing unemployment among educated youth, warning that administrative neglect and the absence of institutional job creation are pushing the younger generation into deep despair. In this context, speakers expressed profound concern over the rising drug menace across Jammu, demanding swift, stringent enforcement against narcotics networks alongside comprehensive community rehabilitation initiatives.
The party also took a strong stand on the long-pending demand for the regularization of daily-rated workers and casual laborers across government departments, decrying the continued delay in redressing their legitimate grievances despite decades of dedicated public service.
It was unanimously resolved that JKNPP (Bhim) will launch a sustained, democratic struggle for the redressal of these public grievances and will intensify its outreach drive to strengthen the organization at the grassroots level so that the party's welfare policies and vision reach every household. Reaffirming its commitment to the foundational ideals of the Panthers Party (Bhim), the leadership pledged to remain on the front lines fighting for the rights of the poor, marginalized, and downtrodden sections of society.
Others who addressed the meeting included Balwan Singh, Sanju Bhagat, Naresh Sambyal, Vijay Singh, and several prominent party functionaries and activists.
