| Udhampur Cricket: UCC enters QFs | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, June 23: Beating Rising Star Cricket Club (RSCC) by three wickets in a pool-A match, United Cricket Club (UCC) today entered the quarterfinal of ongoing District Udhampur Cricket Tournament organised by District Cricket Committee under the banner of J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) at Sports Stadium, here. Batting first after winning the toss, RSCC made 199 runs, which, in reply, UCC chased with a six losing seven wickets. Rohit played superb innings of 81 runs off mere 58 deliveries including a six and 12 boundaries. Abhay played equally good innings contributing 45-ball 61 runs hitting five fours. From UCC, Pawan and Anjum claimed two wickets each while Raman, Inderjeet and Rajiv shared apiece each. Batting second, UCC surpassed the opponent total with three wickets in hand. Paramjeet Singh (38 off 29 ball, 6x4) and Raman Abrol (37 off 33 balls, 4x4) were main scorers while Bhupesh contributed 31 runs facing 30 deliveries. Sunil was most successful bowler from RSCC with four for 28 in six overs. Rajinder Singh and Dheeraj Sharma were umpires in today’s match while Gopal Sharma maintained the score.
