GANDERBAL, Nov 6: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shreya Singhal, today conducted a visit to the Old Age Home at Pandach, Ganderbal, to review the facilities and interact with the elderly residents. The DC was accompanied by the District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO), Ganderbal and other concerned officials. The DSWO briefed the DC on the overall functioning of the institution and detailed the various welfare measures being implemented by the department for the care and well-being of senior citizens in the district. During the visit, the DC inspected various sections of the facility, including accommodation, sanitation, healthcare services, and other essential amenities being provided to the senior citizens. Interacting with the senior citizens, the DC enquired about their health, daily routines, and specific requirements. She emphasized the administration's responsibility to ensure a safe and dignified living environment for senior citizens. |
