| Karra accorded rousing reception on his arrival | | |
JAMMU SEPT-25- Senior PDP leader and Finance and Planning Minister Tariq Hameed Karra was given a warm reception on his arrival in the winter capital today.
The Minister was received at the Airport by senior party leaders including M S Tariq, Shanti Devi, MLA, Ved Mahajan MLC, Rafiq Hussain Khan, Master Tassaduq Hussain. Surjeet Kour, Romesh Koul, Iqbal Malik, Renu Azad, Ashiq Hussain Khan, Baldev Singh Salathia, Ashok Sharma and Choudhry Zulfikar Ali and was taken in a cavalcade to the party headquarters at Gandhi Nagar here.
Addressing the party workers, Karra is reported to have lauded the concerted efforts being made by the party leaders and rank and file in taking out policies and programs of the party in the nook and corner of the state and asked them to acquaint common masses about the concept of self-rule envisioned by Party Patron and former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed.
Elaborating on self-rule, the PDP leader said that it provides for equal opportunities of development of all the three regions of the Start apart from the people’s economic development.
Hailing the process of Indo-Pak talks, he requested the Indian Prime Minister to respond positively to HM’s offer of ceasefire and said that it should not be for a limited period of holy month of Ramadan and suggested that the conditional talks could create bottlenecks in the prospective talks.
