| Farmers deputation call on NC provincial president | | |

Jammu, June 27: A deputation of farmers of distt Jammu called on Rattan Lal Gupta, provincial president National Conference and apprised him about the problems being faced by them.
Deputation said, due to shortage of drinking water and load shedding farmers face problem after problem. Rajesh Kumar Bittu who led the deputation informed the NC president that due to VAT and toll tax agriculture items are too costly with rest of the country. He said rate of interest charged by Jammu co-op bank in high with compare to nationalized banks.
As per release Gupta assured them that necessary steps shall be taken to redress their problems with chief minister, Omar Abdullah to solve the problems of the farmers.
Deputation includes Kulushan Sharma, Ashwani Sharma, Kulbushan Khajuria, Farooq Ahmad, Kulwant Singh, P N Padha and Shyam Lal.
