| Hari Singh opposes shifting of CU | | |

Jammu, June 27: The vice president PCC Th. Hari Singh has expressed serious concern over the shifting of central university from Vijaypur in Samba district to somewhere in Kashmir Division.
In a statement issued here today Thakur has said that a central university was sanctioned for J&K and the site for the same was selected at Vijaypur some time back. The people of the area were eagerly waiting for its opening. But after going through advertisement in newspaper issued from Srinagar inviting applications for appointment of officials, the people of Vijaypur were astonished. A deputation lead by block president congress visited PCC HQ and met vice president and expressed their doubt over the shifting of university from Vijaypur to somewhere in Kashmir.
After meeting the deputation PCC vice president demanded that the said university should not be shifted from Vijaypur and if requires, the sanctioned for opening of similar university of Kashmir division should be obtained from centre but not at the cost of people of Jammu division, he added.
