| Kathua Blue wins by 8 wkts | | | Early Times Report KATHUA, June 28: Guided by superb batting from Sandeep and Rakesh, Kathua Blue today registered a fine six wickets win over Chhan Morian XI in the Satish Memorial Cricket Tournament being organised under the banner of J&K Cricket Association (JKCA) at Sports Stadium, Hiranagar.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Chhan Morian lost all their wickets for 147 runs in 26.1 overs of the 30 overs match. In reply, Kathua Blue chased the total in 20.1 overs for the loss of four wickets.
Balbir was top scorer with 15-ball 29 runs studded with two sixes and three boundaries while Anu and Panku contributed 25 and 23 runs respectively. From Kathua Blue, Shalu bagged three wickets. Abhishek and Himanshu also bowled well taking away two wickets each.
Batting second, Kathua Blue reached the required total losing four wickets sparing 9.4 overs of their innings. Sandeep Singh made 26-ball 36 runs, followed by Rakesh Gupta who scored 35-ball 35 including five boundaries. Anil contributed 28 runs. Rajinder and Sunil took one wicket each from Chhan Mourian.
JPCC XI win by 8 wkts: The JPCC defeated Dhrumachak Cricket Club by eight wickets. Batting first, Dhrumachak bowled out cheaply at a score of 50 in 12.4 overs, which, in reply, JPCC chased in just 6.1 overs for the loss of two wickets. Nishant and Shiv Paul scored 27 and 12 runs respectively for the winners.
