A government school teacher was beaten by the people for allegedly molesting a ninth standard girl student in a remote village of mountainous Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The teacher, identified as Lekh Raj, posted in Kandoth village of Thatri area, was thrashed by the locals this morning, when a IX class girl student complained about molestation by him on the school premises, police sources told UNI.
However, locals mercilessly beat the teacher on the girls complaint. Police on receiving information rushed to the spot. The teacher has been taken into custody and the matter was being investigated, they added.
