| Over Rs. 11.50 cr spent under watershed dev. project in Ladakh | | | Early Times Report Leh, June 29: Against the total realization of funds Rs. 1468.61 lacs over Rs. 1150.50 lacs have been spent for implementation of 115 projects under 6th, 7th and 8th phase of watershed development project up to ending March, 2009. This was stated in a meeting of project implementing agencies (PIAs) held under the chairmanship of Executive Councillor for Rural Development LAHDC, Leh Phunchok Stanzin, convened to review the progress of ongoing projects under watershed developmental programme and Harilayai scheme. Reviewing the performance of on going projects it was revealed that 143 works have been taken under 6th phase of watershed programme out of which 19 rural works have been completed and rest of the works are under execution. The meeting among other was attended by the Deputy Commissioner, Leh Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Project Director, DRDA, Ali Raza and officers of agriculture, horticulture, command area, soil conservation, forest and different PIAs of government agencies and NGOs.
