| Over Rs 1.25 lakh realized from tax-evaders | | |

Jammu, June 29: An amount of over Rs. 1.25 lakh was realized from tax evaders by the inspection wing of commercial taxes department during surprise inspection of commercial vehicles on Udhampur, Samba Jammu national highway. The inspection team led by deputy commissioner taxes Shamsher Bahadur seized two vehicles under registration number JKO2F-1185 and JK13A, 1538 along with goods during checking.
The goods were seized U/S 67(9) and 67 (5) of J&K VAT act 2005. As per press release office of commercial taxes have appealed to all transporters owners not to indulge in any practice of tax evasion.
