Chari to leave for Pahalgam on July 7

Srinagar, June 29: As the annual Amarnath yatra is going on from both the routes of Pahalgam and Baltal, Mahant Deependra Giri on Monday announced the annual programme for the Chari Mubarak scheduled to leave for Pahalgam on July 7th.
Mahant Deependra Giri announced that the Chari Mubarak will leave for Pahalgam on July 7th where Bhoomi-Pujan and Dhawajarohan ceremonies shall be performed. There after the Chari Mubarak will be sent back to Dashnami Akhara building in Srinagar. Pujan shall also be performed at Historic Martand Temple, Mattan on the way from Pahalgam to Srinagar.
On 22nd and 23 of July the Chari Mubarak will be taken to Shankaracahrya and Sharika Bhawani temple at Hari Parbat, the statement added.
On the eve of Tritiya that falls on 24th of July Chari Staphna and Dwajarohan will be held at Dashnami Akhara building in Srinagar. On Nagpanchmi that falls on 26th of July Chari pujan will be held at Akhara building, the statement said.
Finally on 31st of July the Chari will leave for Pahalgam and on way Mahant Depeendra Giri will hold special puja at Sonwar, Pampore, Mattan and Ganeshbal in Islamabad district. The Chari Mubarak will reach Pahalgam on the eve of Ekadashi, 1st August where special pujan will be held.
According to the statement Chari Mubarak will leave for Chandanwari the next day and reach the Amarnath cave on 5th of August before regular halts at Sheshnag and Panjtarni. The Chari will then be taken back to Pahalgam and on 7th of August pujan and visarjan will be held on the banks of Lidder River at Pahalgam as the yatra will finally culminate on the same day.
