| 39 vehicles seized for violation of traffic rules in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report Srinagar June 30 During last 48 hours, the traffic police Kashmir wing has seized 39 vehicles and has realized a fine in the tune of Rs, 128050 were realized as fine from offenders. Police reports said that traffic police booked 323 offenders for not wearing crash helmet, 52 violators for triple riding, 11 offenders for using mobile phone while driving and 32 offenders for not having number plates or with unspecified number plates. During this drive the traffic authorities have realized a fine of Rs128050 from the offenders. Meanwhile traffic police in a unique drive for generating safe driving allowed motorcyclists/scooterists (who were without crash helmet) to go only after they produce crash helmets while violators indulging in triple riding were allowed to take their two wheelers only after their parents made conscious about the safety of their wards. The traffic authorities also requested the parents not to encourage their wards for driving if they don’t have valid Driving License.
