| Puri condemns police action in Baramulla | | | Early Times Report
Jammu June 30
Balraj Puri, Convenor PUCL J&K Staten and director Institute of Jammu and Kashmir Affairs Jammu has condemned police firing on a protest demonstration, killing two and injuring 30, following alleged molestation by police official of a woman in valley.
Expressing his concerns over the issue, the human right activist and veteran journalist Mr Puri in his statement issued today stated as the police is under the direct control of the state government, series of such incidents in recent past, add to it’s the responsibility and weakens its case for reducing the strength of the central security forces and central police to deal with law and order situation in the state.
