| Udhampur Cricket: Bhupesh hits ton in UCC’s 179 runs win | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, June 30: Hitting first century of the tournament, Bhupesh Singh today guided United Cricket Club (UCC) to an emphatic 179 runs win over Habshi Cricket Club (HCC) in the ongoing District Udhampur Cricket Tournament at Sports Stadium, here. Bhupesh faced just 66 deliveries to achieve the century mark hitting 13 boundaries. With today’s big win, UCC has moved to the last four stages of the tournament. Earlier, UCC won the toss and decided to bat first. Sailing on superb performance from Bhupesh, UCC set a big target of 259 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 30 overs. In reply, HCC could make only 79 runs in 21.3 overs to suffer a big loss. Paramjit Singh also played well contributing 20-ball 26 runs including three boundaries. Surjit Singh took three wickets for HCC. Batting second, HCC could not face the bowling wrath of UCC and bundled out for 79 runs in 21.3 overs. Anil Sharma made highest 27 (off 28 balls, 1x6, 3x4) runs. From UCC, Inderjeet took four wickets, followed by Rahul Sharma, who bagged three and Arjun two wickets. For his brilliant century, Bhupesh Singh was named man of the match. Rajinder Singh and Deeraj Sharma were umpires in today’s match while Parminder Manhas maintained the score.
