Srinagar, June 30: A team of commercial taxes headed by Deputy Commissioner commercial taxes, vigilance and inspections, Mehboob Hussan Beigh Tuesday arrested a person and seized gold ornaments worth six lakhs, forty thousand at Srinagar airport that was being illegally transported outside valley.
Sources said that the team of Commercial taxes, during a surprise checking arrested a man and seized gold ornaments worth Rs 6,40000 that was being clandestinely taken outside the valley.
A case under JK VAT Act, 2005, has been registered and further action has been initiated, a senior official told Press Bureau of India
