| Lecturers seek administrative reforms in BOSE | | | JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 26-A delegation of All J&K Lecturer’s Forum led by its State President H. D Qureshi met Director School Education Jammu D. K Vaid in his office chamber here today. The delegation comprising D. P Dutta and Kiranjeet Kour both Vice Presidents, S. Gurcharan Singh General Secretary, Charan Dass Chief Organizer and Dr Ranjodh Singh Jamwal District President Jammu besides Qureshi discussed at length the overall scenario of School Education in the state with special focus for supply of integrity certificate in favour of Incharge lecturers for their confirmation. The delegation apprised the Director School Education for the delay in the regularization of Incharge cadre despite assurances from the authorities at the helm of affairs and even after the devise of a “work calendar” in the Administrative Department under the directions of State Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad. The delegation apprised Vaid the malfunctioning and mismanagement in the Board of School Education under the administrative control of college teachers which is a non-concerned agency in the field of school education who have vitiated the academic environment in the prestigious institutions where the freshers are appointed on the posts of academic officers by ignoring the experienced incumbents available in the areas of School Education. The delegation registered its protest through the Director School Education for violation of all the norms while recruiting the raw handed incumbents in such disciplines where the posts are yet to be created by the government only to adjust their own children and close relations of Board management. The delegation also discussed the suggestive proposal to further streamline the department which include the constitution of a suggestive council, a task force to bring updated realities and develop a sense of accountability and work culture. The Director School Education after a comprehensive discussion appreciated the constructive approach of the forum to bring suggestive ideas for improvement in the standards of education and assured that he will speed up the process of regularization at every level and also address the other issues raised by the delegation. |
