| Adbi Kunj holds poetic, short story session | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 6: The Adbi Kunj Jammu held a multilingual short story-cum-poetic meet at its literary centre New Shastri Memorial School, Talab Tillo, Jammu which was presided over by Nargis Sitara, Vice-President of the organization, while the proceedings were conducted by its General Secretary, Talib Kashmiri. At the outset glowing tributes were paid to late Tara Samialpuri an acclaimed Dogri writer/poet on his 83rd birth anniversary and to late Ali Mohd. Shahbaz a noted Urdu/ Persian poet & scholar from Dist. Kupwara, Kahmir on his 13th death anniversary. Their outstanding contribution to literature and humanity was recalled by various speakers. A resolution was also adopted condoling the untimely demise of Aarish Bashir Mohd. Bashir ( nephew of Mohd. Tasleem Muntazir a well known Urdu writer/poet ) and heartfelt sypathies were expressed with the bereaved family. In the short story session Talib Kashmiri presented his Urdu story “ Imaandari “ depicting lust for money of a dishonest person wearing the mask of honesty. Sh. Muni Lal Puri read his Urdu write-up of historical nature captioned “ Siyasi Goondagardi “ while Sh. Sham Talib presented his brief sketch in Urdu titled “ Mein Shiv Nahin” highlighting the tussle between a man and his inner self. This was followed by a multilingual poetic session in which the poets who took part included S. J. S. Rissam (Hindi), Sh. Talib Kashmiri (Urdu & Kashmiri), Sh. Girdhari Lal Rahi ( Punjabi ), Sh.Sham Talib ( Dogri & Urdu) , Smt. Nargis Sitara (Urdu), Sh. Maharaj Krishen ( Urdu ),Sh. Chander Ved Prakash ( Hindi ), Com. Jaswant Singh (Urdu), Sh. Rajeshwar Bhakri ( English & Hindi), Rakesh Kr. Tript ( Hindi ), S. M. S. Kamra ( Urdu )and Sh. Muni Lal Puri (Urdu).
