| Don't commercialize "Yatra": Shiv Sena | | Criticizes functioning of Shrine Board | |
EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | SEPT 26 The State President of Shiv Sena (Bal Thackrey), Anan Sharma today strongly criticized the functioning of the shrine board, which is commercializing the "Yatra" to the holy cave of Mata Vaishno Devi. This he said while addressing a press conference at Jammu. The shrine board has started a VIP type of darshan and aarti system at Bhawan, which is against the ethical values of Hindu religion and should be stopped from the immediate effect, he added. He further said that it's a conspiracy to divide the Hindu community. He alleged that shrine board is paying little attention towards the cleanliness of the toilets and bathrooms from Katra town to the Bhawan and pilgrims are facing lot of problems due to the unhygienic conditions. Sharma further criticized the administration for not allowing his party to take out the "Chhari Yatra" in the stipulated time as,the other group headed by Ashok Gupta was given preference. Thus, creating the confusing situation in the city. He further said that scanning system from Katra to Bhawan is not satisfactory as; the system usually remains out of the order most of the time. He urged upon the Shrine Board to make "Yatra' comfortable and smooth and stop charging Rs. 5100 for VIP darshan, he added. He thanked the staff of PHE, PDD and Jammu Municipal Corporation for the arrangements made for the devotees at the time of Chhari Yatra in Jammu
