Jammu, July 6: A day long meeting of national conference district and block presidents discussed various problems being faced by the people with regard to shortage of drinking water and frequent power cuts, making people life hell. The meeting which was chaired by provincial president Rattan Lal Gupta assured the workers that chief minister Omar Abdullah is committed to redress the problems of the people and added that various constructive steps are being taken in this regard.
Gupta, apprise the workers that the death anniversary of Begum Akbar Jahan wife of late Shari-Kashmir Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah will be observed as women day which falls on July 11 at Shari-e-Kashmir Bhawan and martyrs day on July 11.
