| MLA Akhnoor ignoring development in constituency: Anusuchit Morcha | | | Early Times Report
Jammu July 7 : BJP Anusuchit Jaati Morcha State Vice-president & party’s candidate in the 2008 assembly elections from Khour constituency Chaman Lal Kanathia has criticized the sitting MLA for neglecting Sainth, Pallanwala, Garar, Hamirpur Sidhar, Panjtoot, Platan and whole area of Pragwal islands in development as well as social welfare activities.
Mr Kanathia said that the poor farmers of these areas are facing lot of problems in the want of water for irrigation as the season of Paddy sowing is almost near to completion. He said that the people living in hilly belt of Khour Block are facing acute shortage of drinking water and the PHE supplies water to a handful of people who enjoy the patronize of the MLA. The BJP leader also expressed his grave concern over the functioning of the Rural Development Department, which is extending the benefits of Indira Awas Yojana Scheme to the influential people only and that to on the recommendation of the sitting MLA thus ignoring the really deserving people.
BJP Distt. vice-president Mangal Singh Manhas, also termed the tenure of the present MLA as dark period for the people and demanded a probe into funds utilized for the flood control purposes on both the banks of river Chenab.
