| Upliftment of farmer’s NC’s top priority: Gupta | | | Early Times Report Jammu, July 7: To strengthen the co-operative movement in the state and uplift the farming community which constitute a major chunk of the society has been the national conference top most priority, said Rattan Lal Gupta NC provincial president at a function organising to facilitate chairman, Jammu central co-op bank here today. Gupta said that the need of the hour is to strengthen the cooperative movement and to explore key areas to strengthen the farming community in the state. He said the farmers are the backbone of the state and the national conference, since its inception, believes that for economic development of the farmers. Addressing the function Mohinder Singh assured that he will work for the welfare of the farmers and will come upto their expectation. He said Jammu central cooperative bank has the mandate for the upliftment of farmers and other downtrodden sections of the society. The function was also addressed by Rampal, Th. Kashmira Singh, S. Peter, Vijay Laxmi Dutta, Rajesh Bakshi, Mohinder Gupta, T.S. Tony, Surinder Singh Bunty, Sham Mehra.
