| Lasjan for financial assistance to fire victims | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, July 7 : General Secretary Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) and Member All India Congress Committee (AICC) Ghulam Nabi Mir (Lasjan) has urged the state government to provide immediate financial assistance to the victims of devastating fire which destroyed around 22 houses in Charar-e-Sharief on Monday.
In a statement, issued here today, Mir Lasjan termed the fire incident unfortunate and said that number of people living in the locality have lost everything and have been left roofless.
He said that the government should immediately assess the loss suffered by the people and the victims shall be provided financial assistance. He further urged the government to arrange makeshift living arrangements for the fire victims till the damaged residential houses are rebuilt or repaired.
Expressing sympathies with the victims, Mir Lasjan said that the he is personally moved with the unfortunate incident and will not leave any stone unturned to help the victims to get them out of the situation forced upon them by the tragedy.
