| PDP to celebrate foundation day on 30 July | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, JULY 8: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flayed National Conference-Congress regime for its failure to solve the problems of youth in general and unemployed educated youth in particular. Party charged the coalition with cheating the unemployed educated youth as the promises made by them during the assembly elections are yet to be fulfilled. Addressing a meeting of the youth wing, PDP General Secretary Thakur Balbir Singh reminded that National Conference, during the Assembly elections, had promised to provide stipend to the educated unemployed youth of the State. He, however, said that the promise remained only on papers because during the last six months not even a single step has been taken so far solve the immediate problems of the youth. Exhorting to youth to oppose the anti-people policies of the coalition regime, he said that coalition regime has failed on all fronts. “Every section of the society has been bearing brunt of the wrong policies of the coalition regime”, he said and called upon the youth wing of the party to chalk out a programme to launch an aggressive campaign against this dispensation. Party Secretary and MLC Sayed Asgar Ali while addressing said that PDP is the only political party which has a vision for the youth. He further said that PDP has presented a document to specifically solve all problems of the younger generation. He called upon the youth to spread message of party at every nook and corner of the state to educate properly the masses. Party spokesman A K Sawhney also addressed the meeting and highlighted problems of the youth in the State. In the meeting programmes were chalked out for July 30 function in which party Jammu unit would celebrate its foundation day.
