| NSGFI allots two events to DYSS | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, July 08: National School Games Federation of India (NSGFI), in its recently held meeting, allotted Jammu and Kashmir two events of cricket and tennis ball cricket to be held at different venues of Srinagar and Jammu respectively. To be organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), the boys’ under-16 cricket shall take place at Srinagar in the last week of September, while the under-19 boys’ tennis ball cricket, introduced for the first time, shall be conducted at Jammu in the month of December. “The events have been allotted to the state in a NSGFI meeting held last month wherein Director DYSS and Joint Director DYSS represented the state. Now, we have to decide about the suitable dates for the conduct of these events of national level within a specified time,” Deputy Director (Activity), S S Bali told SAN. Since the game of cricket is popular among the school goers, about 25 states are expected to turn-up for the two events.
